Avegno, Bailey, & Associates consists of engineers, technicians and draftsmen experienced in all areas of civil and structural work.  We have complete facilities for performing engineering and drafting services including in-house computer systems which are capable of performing full analysis and design of structures of any size, shape, or degree of complexity, and producing complete CADD drawings utilizing Autocad software.

We have structural design experience in most types of architectural buildings including educational, residential, institutional, and commercial.  Some examples of these include primary and secondary schools, college buildings, banks, civic centers, condominiums (up to 25 stories), custom homes, shopping centers, museums, gymnasiums, libraries, agricultural buildings, courthouses, jails, office buildings, restaurants, medical facilities, churches, hotels as well as many others.  We also have worked on other types of projects that include historic restorations, grading and storm drainage design, paving at private roads and parking lots, park equipment, and site structures (culverts, manholes, sports pads, flag poles, light poles, billboards).  We have a small amount of industrial experience that includes cat walks, heavy equipment foundations, foot bridges, pipeline bridges, and design of safety rigging systems.  We have designed foundations using a number of systems including spread footings, timber piles, concrete piles, composite piles, auger cast piles, drilled piers, belled piers, brick masonry footings, chain walls, sheet piling, mat and raft foundations, and others.  We have a considerable amount of experience in high wind and coastal A and V Zone flood applications.

We regularly design and detail using a number of different materials such as conventionally reinforced concrete, hot rolled steel, cold formed steel, wood, reinforced concrete masonry, and brick masonry.  We have some experience with precast concrete, aluminum, structural plastics, and cast iron.  We are familiar with all of the design codes applicable to building design such as the IBC, ASCE 7, ASCE 24, ACI 318, ACI 530, AISC, NDS, and others.
